Differences

Common faults and solutions of gantry milling machine
- The gantry milling machine table and milling head feeding system clutch is out of order. This may be due to insufficient oil in the hydraulic unit tank or faulty force relay. Mechanics and electricians should be asked to check and repair.
- The hydraulic pump or lubrication in the spindle box is not working properly. This is generally due to air entering the oil circuit from the connecting part of the oil circuit. All connecting parts should be checked and sealed tightly. The hydraulic pump should be filled with lubricating oil before the hydraulic pump starts.
- The feed box insurance clutch is slipping. Check and adjust first. If no further adjustment can be made, the clutch should be removed and the spring replaced. If there are scratches on the disc, it must be ground smooth.
- The crossrail lifting mechanism cannot be opened. This is generally gantry milling machine hydraulic clamping device in the pressure is not enough or oil circuit blockage, resulting in the clamping device can not be loosened, lifting motor can not start. The oil pressure and pipeline should be checked. If necessary, ask the mechanic to overhaul.
- Milling head vibration when milling. This should check the spindle box and milling head clamping device, to exclude the failure of the clamping. If there is still vibration movement, the milling head spindle bearing clearance should be adjusted. To adjust the radial clearance, remove the semicircular adjusting ring, remove the connecting disk, loosen the screw, and grind the end face, the grinding amount should be several times of the need to reduce the radial clearance; then install the semicircular adjusting ring with the ground end face, and tighten the screw, and then tighten the nut, remove the screw plug and loosen the screw. When adjusting the axial clearance, first remove the screw plug, then loosen the screw and rotate the nut until the spindle accuracy is restored.
